In 2011, as a
result of a Cascade County Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and
Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), it was determined our community
needed a task force to address substance abuse. Alliance for Youth has
chaired and served as the fiscal agent for SAPA since that time. In 2017,
Alliance for Youth was awarded a Block Grant through the State of Montana
and SAMHSA, and a full-time prevention specialist for Cascade County was
hired. In 2019, CHIP was rebranded as Healthy Lives Vibrant Futures, which
creates objectives surrounding the priority areas of substance abuse, child
abuse and neglect, access to health care and obesity/healthy weight in
Cascade County.
